The KNIFEWORK: Access and Counter Offense course aim to equip participants with the skills needed for self-protection using a knife while adhering to legal boundaries. Topics include various knife carry methods, quick access and deployment techniques, mobility and footwork for combat control, executing strikes effectively at various distances, and defending effectively in close quarters. The courses combine theoretical instruction with practical training to build confidence and proficiency in combat scenarios.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
*This course is beginner friendly. No prior experience required. Participants of all ages and experience are welcome but those under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by their legal guardian and those under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who will enroll in the session as well.
REQUIRED GEAR
1. Comfortable pants which IDEALLY HAVE BELT LOOPS and closed-toe shoes with good traction

2. Eye Protection (any safety glasses will do)
3. Mouthguard
4. A pair of Forearm pads (any taekwondo or arnis forearm pads will do)
5. Water Container/Tumbler
6. Change of clothes/hygiene kit
OPTIONAL GEAR
7. Fencing Mask (optional but highly advised)
8. Punching Gloves or Lacrosse gloves (optional)
9. Focus Mitts (optional)
10. ***Personal Blunt training knife ideally with sheath (optional)
***Safety of personal training knife will be determined by the course instructors. Any training knife that is deemed unsafe will not be allowed for use during the course
